Who cares about a かんぴょう巻き?I didn't,but I do now,in fact one of the most anticipating item in a sushi meal.I love chefs who took great care to make humble thing like this perfect,it shows his determination to satisfy his customers fully.
I made かんぴょう myself,for the first time,of course can't compare to my favorite sushiyas,but still better than some places where I had this before...
細巻き、そして寿司の最後に食べる的なものだね。これを作ろうと思いつくなんて渋い!渋すぎる!😂
寿司の中では地味な存在だよね、でも美味しいよね〜

The first sushis I even encountered was these 細卷,then forgot about them when learned about all the raw fishes,now I pay lot of attention to these kanpyo rolls again.When it's done with best quality ingredient and the right balance of flavors,they could be a great finish nod a sushi meal!

Thank you,I appreciate this one so much I had to try making,luckily I had good guidance and it turned out alright!I had very well made ones at sushiya,so I know if it's made well,it could be fantastic!I hope you could enjoy it again!
Thanks for the comment on the dish,a vintage one I bought at Kyoto,the price tag was still at the bottom and I couldn't believe I spend that money on a tiny dish like this😬...
この寿司は海外にも、あまりないんじゃない?かんぴょうを仕込むのも結構、工程あるのにすごい!かんぴょう香港売ってるの?

The proper sushi places in HK serve these rolls,but seems like not many people care for it...I used to see the dried one at supermarket,but not anymore,so I asked my sister to get me some while she was in Japan a few weeks ago.
The work to make this is not too difficult,just many steps,since I like this a lot,I just felt I had to try making for myself,at least once!
