Made with the kumquat confit I made earlier.Love to mix vanilla with citrus fruits.

What would kumquat? Was investigated think so, I know kinkan "金柑"in Japanese, and I see. It looks delicious to imagine the flavor combination of vanilla and kumquat! 😊✨✨👍

Not so often seeing u make sweet dish ;) Totally agree for vanilla is going very well with citrus fruit. I'm sure taste would be so nice!

Ice-cream:Put 50ml of double cream and 50ml of milk in a saucepan, add the vanilla seeds(from half vanilla pod),10 kumquat confits(Recipe followed, deseeded and chopped up), heat the mixture up, turn off heat before it boils. Meanwhile beat 3 eggyolk with 50 g of su
sugar, until pale,add the hot milk mixture into egg yolk mixture slowly and stirring all the time, put this mixture back into the saucepan,slowly heat up, stirring all the time until the mixture thickens and coats the spoon. Let it cool down and leave in the fridge overnight,then churned in the ice

Kumquat confit: Pricked a few holes with toothpick into each kumquat, you will need 500 g of it, in a saucepan,covere kumquat with cold water, heated up and turn off heat when it boils, strained the kumquats and discard the water, top with cold water again in the saucepan again and do
this two more times. Add 1L of water and 500 g of sugar to the kumquat,bring to the boil,turn off heat and let it cool down,put in sterilized jar,place in fridge,ready to use after 3 days
