Ingredients:

Soya Chunks/Soya Granules-20-25 granules

Onion-1 medium-sized(very finely chopped)

Spring Onions-3 to 4 sprigs

Green Chilly-1

Garlic Cloves-6

Ginger-1 small piece

Salt as required

Sugar-1/2 tsp

Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp

Dark Soy Sauce-2 tsp

Chilli Tomato Sauce-2 tsp

Oil as needed



For Batter:

Maida/All Purpose Flour-2 tbsp

Corn Flour-2 tbsp

Red Chilly Powder-1/2 tsp

Cooking Soda-2 Pinches

Water As Needed


For Garnishing:

Finely Chopped Green Part of the spring onions

Method


Firstly chop the onions,garlic cloves,ginger,white part of the spring onions,green chilly very finely. Also chop the green part of the spring onions. Keep them aside.

Boil the soya granules with some salt in 1 litre of water for 10 minutes.

Strain the water and wash it in cold/plain water 2 times.

Squeeze out the water out of the granules well. Make sure not to deshape the granules.

In a bowl add all the ingredients given under 'for batter' and make it as a thick batter without any lumps.

Dip the granules in the batter and deep fry them in oil in medium flame till it becomes golden brown and crispy. Transfer them into a plate spreaded by tissue papers to strain the excess oil.

In a wide pan add 2 tbsp of oil and add the finely chopped ginger and garlic to it and saute for 2 minutes in medium flame.

Then add the onions,white part of the spring onion,green chilly and saute till it becomes transparent.

Add soy sauce,chilli tomato sauce,salt,sugar,pepper powder and a little amount of water(3 tsp).

Let it boil for 2 min. Add the deep fried granules and toss it so that the granules are coated well with the mixture.

Throw in some chopped spring onions for garnishing.

Enjoy it with fried rice or pulao or just have it as snacks!
ポイント

Notes:

You should consume it while hot for better taste.
After boiling the granules squeeze out the water well without unshaping the granules.
Already you are boiling the granules with salt. So adjust salt later while sauteing.
