Why Singaporeans use dishes with the picture of chicken ( hen or cock? ). Many stalls at hawkers use them, don't they?

It's a very traditional cheap crockery from China that's been used for decades.

I love this crockery. But not means I want. To use here in Japan. Lol. I feel Oh! I'm in SGP whenever I see this at hawkers.

Yes I love this crockery. Have bowls and these little sauce dishes.

Are these breakable or made from plastic? There's no house without these in SGP? Lol. I wonder these are used in Malaysia and China.
Do you know why chickens are painted?

They're china so breakable. No idea why chickens. But could be they're common and easy to paint
