Rama's Sweet Challah

レシピ
材料・調味料 (5 人分)
Lukewarm water
2 cups
Boiling water
2 cups
Sugar (divided)
2 cups + 1 tablespoon
Flour
1 bag (remove 2 cups)
Yeast
5 packets
Salt
1 1/2 tablespoons
Eggs

Canola oil
1 cup
Crumbs: flour
6 tablespoons
Sugar
6 tablespoons
Canola oil
3 tablespoons
作り方

Mix 2 cups of lukewarm water with 2 cups of boiling water.

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar into water

Sprinkle 5 packets of yeast on top water

Put oven on 300 and place yeast mixture on oven door until yeast is foamy (about 5 minutes)

In a separate bowl, mix flour with sugar and salt

Make a well in the center of the bowl

Separately, prepare eggs and oil

When yeast is proofed, add yeast into well then eggs then oil

Combine until no flour remains then coat challah with excess oil from cup and place towel over challah

Let rise for 2-3 hours or overnight

Roll 15 balls of dough

Create challahs, cover and let rise for another hour

Brush with egg and sprinkle crumb topping on challah

Put in a preheated 350 oven for 15-20 minutes if preferred challah to be doughy. Leave in longer if prefer challah fully cooked through
