Put in a deep bowl the almond powder, sugar, lemon zest, cinnamon powder and mix well.

Add the lightly beaten egg mix (not whisk), and fold all the ingredients together until you get a nice smooth mixture.

Butter a mold, add the cake mix and put the almond slices all over the top, bring to the oven and put the temperature to 170C, cook for 15min., turn around and cook for another 15min., then cover the cake with aluminum foil to stop the colouring on the top of the cake and bake for an extra 10min., check the cake with the top of a knife to see if it comes out clean from the cake, or a little bit moist, will still be ok, take it out from the oven and leave it rest in the mold for 10 to 15min. before remove.

Pour over the icing sugar once cold and slice to serve.

Whipped the cream have way with some icing sugar (to taste) and serve some the cake with berries.
