you can experiment with different mixtures of nuts or even just used 1 type, like i said i find pistachio's work best but walnuts also work well, i find peanuts are not nice in this as much as i love them
Also when adding syrup at end always remember the syrup MUST be cold as if hot or even warm it just does not work and WILL make your baklave soggy and not crispy, trust me i know as i made this mistake the 1st time i ever made it and it was just a gooey nut pudding lol :)
