Beer batter fried zucchini & onion

zucchini

onion
1/2
flour
1/2 cup
egg
1
bread crumbs*
as U like
beer*
50mL
salt & pepper
as U like
oil
as U like
mayonnaise
3 Tsp
milk
2 tsp
garlic salt
1 tsp
parmesan cheese
1 tsp
green onion
as U like
parsley
as U like
lemon juice
2 tsp
作り方

Cut zucchini into 1-1.5cm wide sticks. Slice onions into 1.5cm width. They may be either separated into rings or skewered together in quarters.

Mix egg, flour, beer and salt & pepper until smooth. Put batter on each piece and then cover with bread crumbs before setting aside. Heat oil to 180℃ and fry small amounts (6-8pcs) at a time to keep temperature even.

May also use a large frying pan with thin layer of oil instead of deep frying. Or use an air fryer. Turn over once browned and place on rack in oven to keep warm & crisp.

Blend • ingredients to make tangy sauce and serve chilled as a side dip.
ポイント

May also use mushrooms, asparagus, corn or other seasonal veggies.
*soda or tonic instead of beer is also recommended.
*bread crumbs are not necessary or could also be mixed into batter. Lighter coloured zucchini in photo have no bread crumbs.
