Thank you Hannah San! I am so glad this dim sum has received some positive feedback from Japan. It's old fashion but I think it's really delicious, please pass it on!I can't recall that I have seen chestnut shao mai in Chinese cuisine, but it sounds good to me,please go ahead and try and let me know ho
how you like it! Your wrapping is spot on,much more pretty than my sloppy ones. You seem to enjoy cooking very much, you have many delicious looking dishes,I really enjoy looking at them! Your English is excellent too, have you lived in other places apart from Japan, may I ask?
Yeah, they were very delicious! I loved them, both yours and Sakichan's . Chestnuts one is Japanese recipe I guess so it is natural you have never know. They were sweet a little bit and I liked them. The reason why Japanese like your shao mai is, in my opinion, that we like quail eggs very much. The
Your wrapping is not sloppy at all. I have tried to wrap this way for the first time so I stared your photo again and again! My English is far from excellent but I am glad if you felt so :) because I have never lived in other countries. My longest stay was just for a month of home stay in the US.
The reason why Japanese like your shao mai is, in my opinion, that we like quail eggs very much. They reminds us good old memories of a sports meet or school trip when we were kids. Moms made a special lunch for us and it often had quail eggs in it.
You are absolutely right,I have been loving quail egg since I was small,I found myself cooking with them a lot! I am also very impressed with your English, having only stayed abroad for a month, you must be very clever,I enjoy talking with you and I will always look forward to your new dishes, please k
My pleasure! It is so much fun and also a rare chance to talk about Japanese food with a person of other country. I am looking forward to your dishes, too.
I also wanted to try Sakichan's shao mai which has chopped chestnuts in it. I put a half cut chestnut on meat filling instead of quail egg!
