Boil the water with baking soda and salt. When boiled, place the egg (room temp) into the boiling water for 6 mins. After which, place the egg into the iced water.

Cook the japanese rice till it is cooked. Stir the rice vinegar into the cooked rice.

Sear the beef (sprinkle salt and pepper on it) for 1 min and put it to rest.

Warm the sauce in a sauce pan and sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the beef and the egg into the rice bowl and sprinkle some chopped spring onion on it.

Do not overcook the egg. It has to be 6 mins exact.
