Plain flour
100g
unsalted butter
50g
Salt
pinch
Iced water
2 tbsps
Sausage - halved

作り方

Sieve flour and salt together.

Rub butter into flour until resembles bread crumbs.

Add iced water into floured mixture.

Mix into soft and pliable dough. Place it in chiller to rest for 10 mins.

Cut the sausages into half. Set aside.

Preheat oven at 200 degrees celcius for 10 mins.

Roll the chilled pastry onto floured tabletop until 0.3cm thick.

Cut pastry into rectangles enough to roll the sausage and leaving 0.5 cm to seal the ends.

Place the rolled sausage. Seal the pastry with fork and place it on the baking tray.

Brush the eggs on the pastry surface.

Make 2 snips on the pastry.

Bake the sausage rolls at 200 degrees celcius for 20 mins.

Baked till light brown. Remove and place them on cooling rack.

Cool and serve.

Store sausage rolls in airtight container and to be consumed within 2 days.
ポイント

Butter must be hardened when rubbing it into the flour.
