Usually I am not a fan of Chinese herb medicine,but some how when they are cooked with many garlic and pork ribs,it becomes so aromatic and delicious! We are lucky to have packet herbs mix for bak kut teh,that makes it a lot easier,I wonder how you get all these herbs,also from packet? When I was a teenager,I lived with a bunch of Malaysians at boarding school,they made the best bak kut teh I've ever had!
Yes,we Chinese use many star anise in cooking,also widely used all over south east Asia.I like it very much. I am not sure,but I don't think they use star anise in 麻婆豆腐,花椒粉or oil is more essential in this dish!

2時間半煮込んだから、リブの骨からポロっと肉が外れるくらいに柔らかくなって、とても美味しかった❤︎

麻婆豆腐は花椒です。五香粉を入れるとシナモンや八角の香りもあるね。
