First time both to eat and to make strawberry mochi cakes.Lots of beautiful strawberries showing up in the market,thought of these and decided to try making them,love the contrast of the sweet red bean paste and slight tart strawberry,but still have to improve with the wrapping part...
Looking great. I want to try this with white bean paste as well.
Actually,I saw this posts previous lunch time with my colleague.

I also big amazed,did you made this from scratch? I've never make kind of 大福 so far,but I know how difficult to make,especially part of
part of wrap in a Mochi.(it's my mom's speciality,i used to watch at her side😋) Was it hard to make this? I think this looks perfect,well wrapped done neatly! so i respect you! solid! I love this 織部 color's glaze, shapes too(called such shape 隅切 sumiliri),is it famous artist made? You've really aesthetic senses!

Ha ha you're right about me,I am a versatile man,I even go as far as making and eating a girly sweet, and with this one I was hoping I can appeal you girls! But frankly, though I have seen this many times, I have no clue how to make them, so I did some research,and found out 白玉粉is what it uses for t
the mochi .But out of my expectation,this is not easy to wrap at all,also recipe called for こしあん,but I could only get ねりあん,and it gave me a hard time to wrap this over the strawberry,luckily came my secret weapon,clingfilm.
Still,I could only managed to get a couple good looking one,I think I need t
to practice more,may be best to have lesson from your mother...

It's ok,if you bought あんこ made from 小豆, 練りあん is virtually the same as こしあん.You could thus neat
neatly in spite of first time,biggest applause for you! I'll try to make this during strawberry season.
