Ulam Sambal Belacan

Cabbage
Long Beans
Cucumber
Four Angle Beans
Celery
Jicama
Belacan (Dry Shrimp Paste)
White Onion
Red Onion
Red Chillies (Jalapeno)
Ginger
Calamansi

Cook okra, cabbage, four angle bean, long beans, celery leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes and immerse in ice cold water to preserve the green fresh look (makes it crunchy too !)

Blend ginger, chillies, onions, garlic and mixed sugar and a little oil. Slightly bake dry shrimp cubes (belacan until aroma). Mixed all with calamansi juice and add sugar to taste if its too spicy until the flavor is consistence as your liking. This will be the dipping paste, known as Sambal.
