Pizza Monkey Bread Inspired By Gemma's Bold Bakers

dough:
unbleached all purpose flour
3 1/4 cup
sea salt
2 tsp
active instant dry yeast
2 1/4 tsp
unsalted butter softened
2 tbsp
whole milk
1 1/4 cup
sauce:
san marzano crushed tomatoes canned

fresh basil finely chopped
2 tbsp
dried oregano
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
red wine vinegar
2 tbsp
sea salt

low moisture mozzarella freshly shredded

parmigiano reggiano freshly grated

作り方

you will need a bundt cake pan for this recipe. you can also use any round cake pan. lets make the dough: in a small pot over medium heat, add in milk and butter. stir until the butter has melted. do not being the milk to boil. set aside to cool slightly

as soon as the milk temperature is down to lukewarm, add in yeast. stir to dissolve the yeast. set aside for 10 minutes. in a large bowl, add in flour and salt. stir to combine well. once the yeast mixture becomes foamy, add the yeast mixture into the flour mixture

stir with a wooden spatula to combine the mixture. as soon as the mixture comes together as a dough. transfer to a floured surface and knead for 5-8 minutes. the dough should be soft and slightly tacky. if it is too dry, add in water or if it is too wet, add in flour, 1 tbsp at a time. transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover with cling film. set aside to rest for 2 hours

lets make the sauce in the meantime: in a large bowl, add tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic, red wine, salt, pepper, mozzarella and parmesan. mix to combine well. set aside in the fridge until ready to use

after 2 hours, transfer the dough into a floured surface. form the dough into a log shape. cut into small bite size pieces. any shapes you desire. toss the bite size dough into the tomato sauce. mix to combine well

lightly grease the cake pan with olive oil. fill the pan with the dough mixture. distribute evenly. cover with cling film and let rise in the fridge overnight. the dough should have risen to the top of the cake pan on the next day

preheat oven to 180 degrees. wack the bread into the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until it is brownish. remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. turn the pan into a server plate. slice and serve! voila! pizza monkey bread!
