Rice noodle with beef and lemongrass.
Never get tired of these noodles from
Vietnam.
At the back is Vietnamese cured pock called 'Nem',a friend brought this back from Vietnam,only available there.

ベトナムの米粉の麺、食感もスープも美味しいよね。ビーフもいいし、魚介もいいなー。

There are more types of rice noodles than I could recognize from Vietnam!What I know is,pho is wilder on shape,better served in hot soup.This is bun,rounder and thinner(not the most),specially good with eaten cold,with toppings and little sauce.We are lucky to have these fresh in HK,I like them so much better than the dried types,regardless with meat or seafood!

フォーやブン、バインミーなどを何度となく作ってるのですが…

子供達は、ベトナム料理独特の香草や調味料の味に馴染めず…不評で💧
最近はもう、めっきり作ってません😢

Seems like Vietnam is a popular place for Japanese to visit,I have only went to Hanoi once a few years ago.I don't know why it took me so long,Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite from south east Asia,I like it more than Thai!There are endless delicious dishes,and I think I have only tried part of them.
Very lucky for us in HK,we have many Vietnam restaurants,and ingredients are easy to get too,if we want to cook ourselves!
The herbs are used a lot,but mainly for toppings,there are many dishes that don't require herbs too,I hope you make Vietnamese cuisine again for yourself and family.
Our languages are different,but you are right,bo is cow,and ga is chicken,that I know!
