Vegetarian meatballs and tomato sauce with spaghetti

材料・調味料 (4 人分)
"Meat" balls

Textured vegetable proteins
250g
Small onion

Garlic
1 clove
Paprika
1 tea spoon
Mixed herbs
1 tea spoon
Bread crumbs
1/4 cup
Egg (beaten)
1 medium
Salt and pepper
作り方

Rehydrate the proteins with a bit o water (quantity varies according to brands and types)

Preheat oven at 160C

Chop the garlic and onion

Heat up some olive oil in a pan
Throw in the garlic and onion an cook until golden and tender

Add the TVP, cook for a few minutes

Add the herbs an paprika

Stir in the bread crumbs

Remove from heat

Season with salt and pepper and let cool down.

Add the egg, and mix well.

Form 12 balls the size of a large walnut

Place in an oven dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven, place directly into tomato sauce in a large pan, and cook for another 10-12 minutes.

Serve on a bed of spaghetti with a generous serving o tomato sauce (see recipe)
