240g plain flour
15g matcha powder
150g butter (room temperature )
130g icing sugar
2 egg yolk
Optional
1 egg white
Green tea leave - i use black sesame seed
Granulated sugar
Beat butter and icing sugar until soft and creamy
Add egg yolk and mix well
Add flour and matcha powder mixture and fold in with spatula
Cover dough with plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 15 to 30 minutes
Place each portion in large piece of baking paper
Shape into logs about 3.5 cm in diameter
Wrap logs in baking paper and refrigerate until firm
Preheat oven to 150c
Optional
Dip edge in granulated sugar
Brush top with egg white
Sprinkle either tea leaves or black sesame seed
Place cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper
Bake for about 25 minutes
Leave to cool on wire take before serving
