When I was an ignorant teenager living in London, one of my friend recommended me a 'French Restaurant' that served great food without having to pay too much,I thought that would be cool to bring a girl there to have some French experience, only very confused to find out they seems to serve the same type of food, savory and sweet.I didn't think I impressed her to much... Now I have a better understanding what galette and crepe are,but every time I have them, this story comes up n my mind, just want to share with everyone...
Galette and crape,in any case, both are French cuisine.I think you impressed sweet memory to your girlfriend😊💕and now you can serve your own galette like this👆😁I love galette,Tho I sometimes use various stuff for galette,I love traditional galette bretonne best! Cheese, ham, egg are best combination ever! Is it Cidre? It go well with galette! I never get tired of looking at this pics..I feel like I'm in Brittany🇫🇷✨
Thanks so much,I am so glad you approved my choice of these French vintage plates, and the photo gives you a Brittany mood! That was just a food story of mine,I grew up full of these kind of things, this one happened so long ago,and I couldn't remember who she was,but for sure she didn't become my girlfriend. I am not familiar with making galette at all, this is just the first time with proper tools, and after watching a few YouTube videos,I had some practice, and I am starting to get the hang of it now.I will make ones with more substantial fillings next time to see what I like most. But this most basic one with nice Gruyere cheese was very satisfying already. My first meal ever in Paris was galette,we were too hungry after checked in hotel, and a creperie was at the corner.Right after I ordered the food, the lady asked me if I wanted an award winning cider to go with it,so I guess it's the right thing to pair galette with! May be you could show us more of your galettes and crepes too, please!

Yours doesn't look too heavy compared to the usual one served at restaurants.
