Mac and cheese

Lots of buzz about mac and cheese recently because of thanksgiving.I haven't had it for a long time and it was about time to make one.Made this with bechemal sauce,cheddar,gruyere,and Parmesan.It was delicious,and whatever my staub pan does to it,it makes the bits that stick to the pan the best bite!
Having said that,I don't think I'll eat this again very soon,it's too rich,small portion like this for lunch and I ended up not feel like eating whole day.
I want to like American food but I can't...
May be a I got it wrong and it's supposed to be a side dish...?
Anyway,for cheesy pastas,I think I will go for the Italian carbonara or cacio e pepe.
Ha ha! I agree with your opinion. It's heavy because it's American dish! I like cauliflower cheese but put just a little bit cheese.

Thanks,glad you understand...Don't know how the Americans do it...
It was delicious,but next time I have a smaller portion or find someone to share with me!May be it's a good idea to put in less cheese too.I want to try cauliflower cheese as well!
