Heat up 1.5 cups of warm water. Add in 1 packet of active dry yeast and a tbsp of coconut sugar. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.

While the yeast is activating, add the flour, remaining sugar and salt into a medium sized bowl and mix to distribute.

Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture and use a spatula or wooden spoon to combine all the ingredients. Dust your kitchen counter with flour and place the dough onto it.

Knead for 1 to 2 minutes until your left with a slightly sticky dough. Add more dough if it is to sticky to handle. Place back into the greased bowl and cover with a towel. Let rise for 30 minutes or longer.

While the dough is resting make the Almond Spread. Toast 2 cups of Almond flour in the over and 350F for about 10 minutes.

Add the coconut cream (only cream part in the can, not the water.) into a small saucepan, along with the chocolate and maple syrup. Heat on medium until everything is melted and combined.

When your dough is finished resting, separate it into four equal parts. Ise a rolling pen to roll each part into long circles, about 10 inches in diameter.

Add 1/3 cup of the almond spread on the first layer, leaving about 2 inches space along the circles edge. Spread in on evenly, and then place another layer of rolled out dough on top of the first. keep doing this until you've placed th last on top.

Get about a 9 inch plate and gently place it on top of the dough and cut around the edges to create a perfect circle.

Remove the plate and place a small cup facing down gently on the dough, you just need to see the circle engraved in the center. Take a sharp knife and cut dough into 16 equal strips.

Using both hands, pick up two adjacent strips and twist the away from each other twice. Pinch the two pieces together to seal off the edges. Do this for all the strips until yiu have 8 pairs of strips together.

Preheat the oven to 400f and allow the star bread to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Before placing in the oven, brush the bread with maple syrup. place in the oven for 30 minutes and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before dusting with cinnamon and serving.
