ちんびん Very interesting, this one from プラウSan. I have seen this before, but only after reading プラウSan's introduction,I realised it actually comes from the Chinese's 煎餅.This Okinawa version has brown sugar in it,that make's it so characteristically Okinawa.Putting ham and cheese in it is also very interesting to me,I thought ちんびんis always served as a sweet snack. But after trying it,I am very convinced. Hi プラウSan,thank you for your recommendation,I love this ちんびん with ham and cheese! So sad you have to take a break here,I knew you too late and I only started to discover many interesting food from you,I love Okinawa and want to learn more about Okinawa culture. Sorry to bother you while you are on a break,so no need to reply,I just want to show my appreciation with all your wonderful posts. You are welcome back when you are ready,I hope so...
Hi プラウSan! Thank you for your comments! I was always interested at ちんびん from Okinawa, only I found out it's origins from your post.I agree,I went to Okinawa once and I could sense many food has a similarity to Chinese,I think Okinawa being close to China geographically is one of the reason too.I haven't made ちんびん before, but I found a good recipe, with flour ,片栗粉 and sesame,it has a bouncy texture,I love it but I am not sure if it's authentic.I am also interested at the new style that you mentioned,I want to try it next time! Have to thank you for all you contributions here,I know it's time consuming and you have a day job, please take a good break,I hope to see you again here!Meanwhile I will try other things from your profile!
That's right,it's from プラウSan,I have seen chinpin here before, but never ham and cheese in it,I just have to try!I also like the combination, sweet crepe, with savoury things inside. I think he deserves a break and be relaxed more,I hope he comes back stronger,I'll happy to see more of his cuisine! Thank you for your kind comment!
