Well,I have never eaten this in Italy too,but I have see this recipe in lots of Italian cookbooks,and I trust this it an traditional Italian thing to sprinkle amaretti crumbs on this certain filled pasta.May be it's just me,I found the whole thing taste a little to sweet,that's why I drizzle balsami
balsamic to balance this a little.Another reason may be the Japanese pumpkin I use is much sweeter than the italian's.So next time I'll use almond flake instead,or make a more savoury pumpkin filling.Please go ahead and try,see what works best for this and let me know.
