This is my first,and I waited too long,I have known this dish for a long time and I thought it was difficult too,but actually not too bad.I found a few recipes on this,all slightly different,and some called いか鉄炮煮,and some called いかめし,so I just did what I prefer to eat ,which is all もち米,stuff in the
squid and simmer in soy sauce and sake etc,really simple,I hope I was right.Its very interesting that many cuisines has their own stuffed squid dishes,I hope to tackle them one by one.Thanks for remembering my amateur washoku dish,you are the real expert on this,I am sure things like いかめしwould not b

我也常常見到這個,樣子很吸引的,早前終於試做,沒什麼考究的,只是胡亂的把浸泡過的糯米塞進烏賊內,放進たし,醬油,味醂,酒裏煮45分鐘,湯汁收得乾乾的就可以了,蠻簡單的!
Agree,there are different name,i guess it's very puzzling to you.We call 鉄砲煮 which stuffing something in cylindrical foods.So even if you made it with other cylindrical vegetables (like a 蕗) ,you can call it 鉄砲煮.I bet your いかめし looks very splendid,It doesn't look first try!

Haha,thanks,I finally get it,coincidentally I have been watching a TV drama that has lots of stuffing gunpowder action,I can relate to that now,thanks so much for telling me!
