Papery Bitter Melon Soup

I used funnels seed, red pepper, black peppercorns. To have clear soup ..high heat in the beginning and then cook on slow heat for about 1 1/2 hours with lid on. Make sure the foam on surface is removed otherwise the soup will not look like this...
Oops, fried flak steak with the spices first then add water. Melon cook once and throw away the water so the soup is not too bitter.
