These Japanese round turnips might be the most common winter vegetable in Japan,but they are actually hard to come by in HK,I was very happy when I found some here and this is what I made.

Good morning Makiko! It's nothing,the hardest part is locating カブ in HK,you have good influence on me,seeing your beautiful tsukemono always makes me want to try! I thought 千杖漬け has a specific recipe and flavour,I found out it actually could be done many ways,as long as its cut like this,but I am not sure if I'm right...

Thank you May San! This is カブ from Japan,not the biggest type,may be more like medium size,I was happy to find them at Sogo! I also found the smaller ones at park n shop's 'taste' last year,I am still waiting for them to stock it this year!
