For Pistachios layer : (1)1 cup pistachios (2)1 cup milk powder unsweetened (3)1 cup powdered sugar (4)¼ tsp cardamom powder (5)2 tbsp ghee / clarified butter (6)¼ cup milk (7)Few Drops food green color(optional)

Instructions: firstly, pulse and powder 1 cup cashew to a fine powder. sieve the cashew powder into a large bowl. make sure there are no large cashew pieces. add 1 cup milk powder, 1 cup powdered sugar and ¼ tsp cardamom powder.

mix well making sure everything is well combined. now add 2 tbsp ghee and mix until the mixture turns moist.further add ¼ cup milk and start to knead a dough.knead to a soft dough adding milk if required. keep aside.

To prepare pistachios dough, take 1 cup pistachios and blend to a fine powder.sieve the powder into a large bowl.add 1 cup milk powder, 1 cup powdered sugar and ¼ tsp cardamom powder.mix well making sure everything is well combined.

now add 2 tbsp ghee, few drops green food colour and mix until the mixture turns moist.further, add ¼ cup milk and start to knead a dough.knead to a soft dough adding milk if required.

place the butter paper and roll the pistachios dough into a thin layer.also roll cashew dough into a thin layer.now place pistachios layer over cashew layer.

roll tight making sure the layers are intact. wrap in a cling wrap and freeze for 10 minutes. now cut into thick or thin slices depending on your preference. finally, kaju pista roll is ready to enjoy or store in the refrigerator for a week.
