Delicious looking sushi from foodie couple friends,I especially love having しば漬 in the rice! Hi Nami and Koji,it was love at first sight when I saw your sanme sushi,I wanted it to be my first sanma dish of the season,but I had to go to Tokyo to get the しば漬 and ゆかり first. I missed sanma so much I went ahead and made another dish from it.... I finally got the pickles and made this,it was delicious like it should,unfortunately the pickles wasn't shown as beautiful as yours.... Anyway thank you for always showing your amazing dishes to me!

I am not sure about the shape of it,I am not familiar of pressed sushi,so glad you approved.I do have a pressed sushi mold,I think I need to use more often! I had a short trip to tokyo,so I had to go to my favorite place to get the pickles,it's 近為from Kyoto,they have a few branches there.So Nami went to Kyoto and picked up some pickles too,you must be familiar with the best shopping places,if there is any better pickles shops,you are welcome to suggest a few for me! I really love to have sushi with some pickle in the rice,sanma and しば漬け are amazing together,shiso ado adds wonderful aroma! I am a big fan of Nami's cooking,please continue and make all these fabulous food so I could follow!

I am no expert of tsukemono,and I have only learnt to appreciate it when I became older.I accidentally discovered 近為 when looking for somewhere to eat at Tokyo's Daimaru building,I order a 定食 and I was especially impressed with all the tsukemono that comes with it,since then I always shop with them.I love the shop near 西陣,or the one near 富岡八幡宮(may be you lived around here too),where there are a large variety.I look for natural taste(chemical-free),and good balanced seasoning,and this place seems to do a good job and everything are prepared with care.Apart from the the traditional items,I enjoy the only-summer- available カボチャtsukemono a lot.I couldn't stop eating their 奈良漬 too!

さんまはどう調理しても美味しいけれど、これはかば焼き風味としば漬けの爽やかさが絶妙だよね。
