An example of the kind of sandwich they make in Italy,I had so many good ones there.They actually call this flatbread 'schiacciata',no more than an inch thick,slit open and stuffed with all the goodies(you could imagine,it's Italy...),and every bite you get a nice crust,how great it that....?Mine was about half as good,but still made me a happy man....
Hi Makiko,I had too many good food at Italy,I want to share with everyone,please be prepared more Italian food coming from me! Very luckily the food I had there aren't difficult to make,most of them are home cooking based on the best produce,and with what you find in Japan,it's not hard to reproduce at all! Going to Italy is not easy for us in Asia,it's quite far away,but please trust me,it will worth the trip,as we say in Cantonese 'go sooner and enjoy sooner'!

I thought we could only put topping on focaccia,but actually they slice it across and put filling in it,these are sold everywhere in Firenze.The most difficult part for me is the bread itself,it's important to get it in even thickness,I need more practice,the rest is easy! Italy is such a great country,really worth visiting again and again,especially food lovers like us!Let's us talk about it more when we meet up!
Oh thanks,you are too kind! Flat breads are amazing,please try them sometime,just remember they need more hydration and you will get those lovely big air holes! I really enjoyed Italy,I have been talking about it since I got back,my friends probably got tired of listening to it.It was my first time,I have been giving myself excuses for not going,all kind of reasons,and now I realize how silly I was,I should have gone sooner to this wonderful place.So I urge you to do so too! I am not a wine person,just very occasionally sparkling wine.I love both tea and coffee,but only for breakfast and tea time.For lunch and dinner,I will absolutely go for water,and for European meals,has to be aqua fizzante(sparkling mineral water),I just find food taste better for me!
