Just want to try this banana mustard.I love cooked bananas, but rarely I find it in a savoury dish, when I came across a banana mustard,it makes good sense to me,I think it works very well with pork.
Not my original,I made from a recipe.Suppose to be western dish, but I think it also works fine pork braised in soy sauce!Italians serve meat with fruits marinated in mustard,so I guessed it should be good. I did what the recipe says, baked whole banana in oven til skin goes black,30mins,then blend the banana flesh with whole grain mustard.2 bananas to 3 tablespoons of mustard, just like that! But I reckon if you put banana in microwave and heat through, it will be the same!
Hi Lara,of course, glad you like this! You know Italians serve meat with fruits marinated in mustard,so this makes sense to me! I did what the recipe says, baked whole banana in oven til skin goes black,30mins,then blend the banana flesh with whole grain mustard.2 bananas to 3 tablespoons of mustard, that's all you need! But I reckon you could cook your bananas in microwave,it will be just fine, and quicker!
