利久 is a place I visit every time I'm in Japan,I am addicted to there thick cut grilled tongue there. I have been wondering if I could made it at home,so I went out to get a whole piece of tongue(for America),using only the end bits,and simply grilled it with some salt. Tender and juicy,as good as I had in the restaurant! To go with it,I also made 青唐辛子 味噌漬けand 麦とろご飯. So much cheaper to make at home,and I could forget about the oxtail soup. And there is a whole lot of leftover tongue I could make curry with!
