To cut down on calories I used a mix of barley and brown rice instead of our usual plain white rice.
Actually the crispy rice from the bottom of the pot tastes exceptionally good!!

The main dish contained grilled fish and coupla dumplings which I stole from my sister's plate! They are my favourite and I confess that I can't resist their yumminess! LOL

You can also see Japanese Miso soup, Daikon (Japanese white radish) salad seasoned with salt, pepper and dried mint with lemon juice and olive oil dressing.

And let's not forget the Persian "Borani" (برانى) which is a very tasty but simple and healthy side-dish made by mixing spinach in yoghurt.
