My 1st Quiche

salted cabbage

First pre-cook the pie sheet 5-10 mins @180℃ so that it is partly cooked to prevent leaking.
At this time, mix all ingredients from eggs, milk, cream and salt & pepper and leave at room temperature.

Leave out the stem and cut cabbage into bite size pieces. Mix with 1/2 tsp of salt and leave aside for 15 mins.

Slice other ingredients and flatly place evenly on pre-baked pie sheet. Be sure to squeeze out the excess water from salted cabbage. Make 1-2 layers of zucchini and leave a few slices for the top decoration.

Recommend adding Gouda cheese in middle or too.
Add egg, milk & cream mix and top with last few slices of zucchini and jako.

Bake for 35 mins @180℃. About 15-20 mins through check to ensure the top isn’t burnt. Place aluminum foil lightly on top to prevent further browning. Of pie sheet still isn’t cooked through, add 10-20 mins.
ポイント

Used a frozen pie sheet this time, however it could be easily hand made as well.
Be sure not to add too many ingredients as the filling may overflow.
If using more cheese, only use 2 eggs. Vice versa (less/3) if you prefer less cheesy and more egg.
