Makiko San's チキンと筍のソテー

Fell in love with Makiko San's dish as soon as I lay my eyes on it!I love bamboo shoot,it's delicious and go well with so many things,this one is a great idea simple sauté with chicken and edamame on the side,when the vegetables are at their best,nothing much needed to do with them!I only used olive
oil and garlic chips to sprinkle on,good enough for me!
This bamboo shoot is simply called '竹筍' here,only available for a short period this time of the year.
Thank you Makiko San for bringing me this wonderful dish!

タケノコは本当に季節ものだから、春のうちに何度も食べたいね。
日本では薄味に煮たり炊き込みご飯にするのがオーソドックスだけど、バターやガーリックもよくあうね。
もっと食べ方のレパートリーを広げてみたい꒰*´艸`*꒱

今回は会えなくて残念だけど、日本の春を満喫していってね〜( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
お久しぶりです。仕事が一段落して、ゆっくりスナップが見られるようになりました。またまた美味しそうな料理がズラリですね。筍の一品美味しそう!この前、麻紀子が作ってたのだ。筍の新しい料理でした。ちょっと日本の筍と種類が違いますか?先の方がたくさんで贅沢な感じです!

Thank you Makiko San!These days I love dishes with simple preparation,when I saw your dish,I thought I have to make that,I used bamboo shoot with western dishes before,I know it always work!With this one,I could have the true taste of bamboo shoot,they are at their peak now!
Now you remind me,I have to make a bamboo shoot rice too,but have to do that when I come back from Japan,hopefully I get more cooking ideas from there too!
Such a pity we couldn't meet this time,but nevermind,I come to Japan very often,I might see you at Mie next time!

I realize Hironobu San had been busy,I haven't seen your post much,I am glad you finally finished important work,I look forward to what you make now!Thanks Makiko San,she has been giving me lots of amazing food idea,I have to try this new style of eating bamboo shoots!They are always delicious and when they are so good now,it's really better to cook simply,but mixing east and west make it very exciting too!We don't have bamboo forest in HK,the ones I bought were imported from China,there aren't many different varieties to choose from,but this one is quite good and only available at spring.I really look forward to try different ones in Japan!Please enjoy your trip to Tokyo too,we'll meet again next time!

Haha,HK is a tiny city,we don't even have enough room to live,bamboo forest is long gone,I feel sad too!
