Market is full to strawberries, but I have no time to make cake or tart with them, instead I have something that we could eat with them. Strawberries are usually eaten with condensed milk(練乳) in Japan,I have taken it further, this dulce de leche is from South America, basically a caramelized condense m
Hi Missty!Glad you like this!Your stay at South America must be full of great food experiences,I envy that!I didn't have to buy this,I made this my own. There are many ways doing it,mine is simple,I just put a whole can of condensed milk, unopened,in a pressure cooking, and steam over water for about
I don't have a pressure cooker, but I may try to make it in the microwave (just found the method from the internet). Hopefully it will be worked! Thanks for your inspiration and reminding me the taste of South America!
Cool! I thanking this posts! I amazed that you could ready this toffee just only one hour. Sometimes i did same thing use for banoffee pie etc..but my method takes 2 hr at least.(boiled with low heat in pan) your method is amazing using pressure cocker.I can shorten time drastically! I want to tr
try it too! (but I didn't know that it called dolce de leche. thanks!) anyway, this combination is just out of this world!! I looove fruits and toffee sauce. even if you can't make time for sweets making.this is equally rank with grand restaurant's dessert.😋💕
It's my pleasure!I heard a lot about this, but never have a chance to eat, trying to imagine it's caramelized condensed milk,it got to be good. This method not only take less time, the best thing is that you don't have to watch over it all all,on top of that, you don't have to use it right away if you do
don't open it,you could also make a few at one time.So I highly recommend this!Just put enough water(so it won't boil off),put a rack in the cooker, then the can on the rack, steam for 50 -60 mins, the longer the darker.Let it cool by itself, and please remember don't open when it's still hot!It became
a little stiff after,I thinned it down with milk, please adjust.I am just thinking what to do with the leftover, and banoffee pie sounds good, actually I have to thank you for this,I have starred yours! Also the compliment and resnaps!
