ローストビーフ膳

Wanted some wafu roast beef,made this mainly with what's already at home...
And therefore many western stuffs were incorporated.

揚げ里いもとむかごの香味あえ
柿白和え
赤大根のゆず甘酢漬け
きのことクレソンのお浸し
ごぼうのバルサミコきんぴら
さつまいものレモン煮

I love autumn and all it's seasonal food,I had many at home,so I built this meal around them,along with my western stuffs too.I had whole bag of mukago,had to utilize them too!

Thank you for your compliments.I admire all the washoku arrangements,it's art to me.I did my best to imitate,working with many leftover vegetables,using reference from my Kyoto style cookbooks.I enjoyed the meal,but can't compare to the great things I experienced in Japan!I have many to improve on!
I had my first むかご at Kyoto,in an Italian chestnut soup,so I had no presumption of it being a Japanese ingredient,I wanted to try many different dishes with it,luckily all went well,むかご is delicious and suits many cuisines.It's also a challenge that I love,making a western dish with Japanese ingredients,something that the Japanese does so well!
It's the best thing having a garden of produces to cook from,I hope you could make something interesting with むかご too!
