Bacalhau à Brás

Salt cod sauté with potato
HK being a neighbor of former Portugal's colony Macao,we are quite familiar with some traditional portugal dish,this is one of my favorite one,shredded bacalao sauté with potato matchstick,add eggs in to finish,topped with parsley and olives.

聞いたことがないお料理だ。そう言えばポルトガル料理は馴染みがないなぁ。
マカオは世界遺産に指定されている街だもんね。ギャンブルには興味がないけど、次は予定に入れてみようかな。

Salted cod, it reminds me a croquette of cod.
I've never eaten this dish, bacalhau à Brás.
Is this a simple seasoning?

Portuguese food is lesser know to the world,from what I know,it's more rustic and less fancy,quite hard to compete with it's neighbors.
It takes at least a whole day to look around Macao,gambling is main activity,but also interesting to stroll around in the old streets too,some remain quite European.Food is also great,well,may be next time!

The salt cod croquette is also very famous dish,I love it!
This one is served everywhere in Macao too,but this is the first time I tried making it,it's quite straight forward,seasoning is basic,just salt and pepper.
I'm not exactly familiar with this,and I found many ways doing in the internet,so please browse around,you might find more authentic ones!
Or else,please visit Macao when you have a chance,it's an interesting place!

Actually I went to Macau this New Year holidays. I walked around the historic district, it was very interesting.
I also tried to eat some Portuguese food. Cod croquettes, shrimp pie, African chicken, duck rice, Macau burger, egg tarts ,,, I'm going to visit Macau again!

Oh,I see,you have already been,seems like you have tried many Macao specialties too,you really know your way around!
I am sure one visit is not enough,please explore it again,I also like to go to Macao's Robuchon for lunch,it's great value for that level of food!
