Actually has been on my mind for a long time ,but seeing Yukari San post reminds me to do this.Probably numerous times I had mentioned I like vanilla with citrus fruits,even in savoury dish!But this is not unusual to Cantonese cooking,restaurant chefs have been putting custard powder in the batter o

of deep fried food,we just don't do this at home.My chicken is marinaded with salt,pepper,ginger juice,dredged with potato starch,deep fried,and finish in a sauce made with lemon juice and peel,sugar,honey,vanilla bean.So if you like vanilla,you'll be hooked too!

Yes,I have seen French cuisine pairing seafood ,usually lobster,with vanilla,but rarely with chicken,But again when I order Chinese style fried dish,(pork or fish)I always sense there is sweet scent ,and later I found out they put custard powder(which has vanilla)in the batter.I don

don't know who started this and what make him think of this,but it works rather well.So when I saw your post,I immediately though of this,I just omit mustard and add vanilla .Thank you for that!Also trusting me for the music,I hope you like this!
