It's really amazing how a linen bag evokes all the memories of a Paris trip a year ago.Ms Mangopudding posted a photo of Benoit restaurant in NYC,I recognize the linen bag that they serve bread with at the background at once and it's the same thing I saw in Paris.Run by the same owner Alain Duccass,
,Aux Lyonnaise serves flawless traditional Lyonnaise food,I also love the deco which seems like nothing has changed ever since it opened.A genuine French experience for me!
To: hiko117 it really was!The black thing is their homemade black pudding, made with meat, blood and spiced with espelette pepper, served with apple, one of the most delicious things I ever put in my mouth!
To: mikethemighty I really respect him.We are lucky to have one of his restaurants in HK,Spoon,a fine dining place, I still don't have a chance to go yet,but I prefer more casual bistro food.
To: MangoPudding thank you!The sweetest baby leeks, the best quenelles, and the most delicious black pudding for me so far, really can't pick on these dishes! Thanks for the resnap too!
To: yukaringg thank you very much!I am glad I could share this with everyone!I hope you could try this soon, anyone who love food and cooking should visit places like this!
I miss Lyon!! Your beautiful photo reminds me nostalgia...so long ago. Townscape, landscape,of course delicious foods. Lyon is one of my lovable cities in France. Thanx for this nice pic!
To: romie it's my pleasure to share this with everyone! It becomes my habit to take photos of what and where I eat, especially when I'm traveling, they will bring back nice memory for years. So you were in Lyon, how nice,I've heard so many good things about, and I want to visit do much
To: MangoPudding thank you!Yes I shot that, using IPhone with "avgcampro",kind of a slow shutter app, really fun, please check it out!(you'll need a tripod though)
To: rikk Thanks! I'll definitely check it out 👌 Forgot to mention Alain Ducasse has another restaurant "Adour" in NYC located inside The St. Regis New York Hotel on east 55th street. Quite pricey💰💰💰 I've never been there 😕
To: Annewongsk yes, doesn't it?And you were part of it,how nice!Such a shame those "L'Ami Jean" photos weren't good, otherwise I'll post them too. I'm still craving for that black pudding so bad!
To: 0987hiropon thanks for the resnap!I didn't have much time in Paris and there were so many restaurant to choose from,I'm glad I made the right choice!
Wow,you actually called and asked..?But I guess things like this happen a lot in restaurant business, probably disagreement between partners, doesn't mean their food is bad....
maybe everyone is longing to go there and appreciate everything he offers

Bummer! Adour was closed on Nov.17, 2012! 😩
"A Ducasse spokeswoman, reached via phone, declined to say why the restaurant was ending its five-year partnership with the hotel."
