balsamic strawberries with mascarpone and amaretti

I feel I need to share some dessert ideas with everyone,this is perfect for last minute dinner party,especially if I'm cooking at other people places,because unlike most desserts,this one needs no setting in the fridge or no baking in the oven,and doesn't need much time to pr

prepare.One scoop with a bit of everything and you are in heaven!
At the back is amaretti,an Italian soft almond cookie,which I had crumbled and sprinkled on the top.

To: romie thank you,I see what you mean this is adultish,with the balsamic in a dessert,but it really goes well with mascarpone.Ok,here is the recipe,mix together 1/3cup balsamic and 2tsp sugar,simmer til reduced to 1/4cup,cooled.Use 24oz of medium strawberries,cut half,marinade in the balsamic for

about 1 hr.Whip 1/2 of cream and 2tbs sugar til soft peak,fold in 1/2 cup of mascarpone,add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract too,spoon this in a glass,top with strawberries and crumbled amaretti.I myself use an aged balsamic,so I use less sugar and no need to reduce.Please try and let me know what you think!
