My first handmade chestnut purée. Several hours spent on my day off,these are all I got from 2 lbs of chestnut(and of course some tired fingers).Intentionally this is for spreading on my bread,but I am considering making a dessert or cake with it. France and Japan are famed for the chestnut,but these from China aren't bad at all.
I love chestnut,no matter sweet or savoury food,always want to make chestnut paste from scratch,I finally made it,long time spent and not much I got,I have to think carefully how I should use this!Spreading on bread is good enough,but I also want to try it with more interesting okashi!
You are right,very exhausted after all those work,but I got to try at least once!Luckily I could put on some music,made the process more enjoyable! I still have no idea how to use them,I thought of Mont Blanc,but that would use them up too much...I don't know,let me think some more,any idea is welcome!
