To: rikk my personal preferences is Thai basil. It has much stronger aroma and taste than American basil. It also looks prettier color-wise 😊

To: MangoPudding I used to think they are different,and I never tried making this dish because I couldn't find the Taiwanese basil in HK,but after trying a dish in Taiwan which had basil in it,I actually think they are very similar.It works very well in here,thanks for the reference!!

I bought my kids pork ribs lastnight and have no clue of how I will prepare them :(
To: Trivia36 thanks!This preparation is originally used with chicken,but I am sure you could use beef,just need to be braised longer(with ginger,garlic,scallion),with mushroom and chili,sugar put in at the later stage,basil and more sesame oil the last.

Yummy!! I'm gonna try to make something similar.. I don't know a lot about mushrooms... Love them but there are So many! I will use regular ones cause they're is some in my frig. :)

My kids don't eat it much but they will have it from time to time.
My Mommy said for me to never to deprive my kids of something because I don't like it.
To: Trivia36 any mushroom will work,but if you see eringi mushroom in the market,do grab some,it's very nice,meaty and delicious,and it soaks up the sauce beautifully!
