Had this combination of osmanthus and grapes in my head for a long time, somehow I reckon they should be great together, since it's summer and it's perfect for shaved ice,I tried them on it. Shaved ice is not a traditionally Chinese, but I think it would be interested having shaved ice with Chinese flavours.
Osmanthus is autumn tree, and it's good smell. In my girden, there is one osmanthus tree. In Japan, osmanthus is very popular. Your ice looks like flower! I like osmanthus♡ I want to eat it.
Thank you Makiko! Is osmanthus autumn?I never knew... How cool is that to have a osmanthus tree!Once I walk past one at flower market,I was captivated by the beautiful fragrance! Also could be used in so many dishes,I love it a lot,but to put it on shaved ice is my first,I definitely want to try other Chinese flavours with ice again!
