Take the onion, garlic and potato and roughy chop into chunks (make sure to take all the skins off)

Place the green pea, onion, garlic & potato into the broth in a good sized pot, the liquid won’t cover all the green pea but don’t worry. Bring to a boil, uncovered then reduce heat and let simmer rapidly until veges are tender.

Remove from heat and use a blender to blend until smooth. (Don’t blend when it’s hot.)

Season to taste with salt and pepper, stir through cream ( never boil soup after adding cream , it will split)

Next take your bacon and cubed. Fry them in a frying pan until cooked.

Ladle soup into bowls, add a spoon full of the cooked bacon and a spoon full of cottage cheese then sprinkle with pepper and parsley. Serve with bread.
