Thanks,just my impression of what Kyoto style potato salad would like,I actually never had this in Kyoto.... The あれらwas bought in Japan a while ago,生麩just very occasional found in Japanese supermarket here. I am addicted to 生麩too,such interesting texture makes it good to pair with many things!
Thank you! I had pumpkin salad with生麩before,so I guess it goes with potato too!There are many 生麩和えdishes,there I think it's suitable in western salads. I love 生麩,in almost all type of cooking,but having it cold is my favourite! あれらis cute and have actual use of adding crispy texture too!

I had made that pumpkin salad before,and recently I got hold of some 生麩,and I thought potato salad also work,along with the あられ,I was try to create multiple textures in this dish,I enjoyed this very much! Happy to hear you are a fan of 生麩 too,I would love to see what you make with it!!

生麩、大好きだけど、サラダに入れるというアイディアは思いつかなかった。焼いたり、煮物に入れることが多いよね。クリームチーズと生麩、相性良さそう。トッピングのあられも可愛らしいね。

第一次吃生麩是在京都的おばんさい菜館,一道南瓜沙律(或許是喚作和え的,已忘記了),喜歡得很,回來便做了上載過。最近在超市又看到生麩,便試試用它做馬鈴薯沙律,心想既然南瓜也可以,馬鈴薯也可行的。喚作京風,純粹自己的想法,在京都尚未見過。至於あれら,是看到在網上類似的菜色而啟發的。
很喜歡在一道菜式內找到不同的口感,這個頗成功的!
