茶葉蛋 Tea Eggs

材料・調味料
6 eggs
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp Chinese five spice powder
3 pcs star anise
1 black tea bag
作り方

Place unshelled eggs in saucepan with enough cold water to cover. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 minutes.

Remove the eggs. With a knife, tap each egg to slightly crack the shells. Return to saucepan.

Add other ingredients and stir. Cover and simmer for 3 hours, adding water as necessary. Serve hot or cold.

Love these but never made before,surprised to see it takes 3 hours!

I guess 3 hours is the max if you want the eggs to be looking really brown 😉 Otherwise, reduce the time to 2 hours or even less. I usually don't drain the liquid, so I can bring the eggs to a boil again later if I want to eat them hot 😀

haha nope,she strictly sticks to Cantonese,and to be precise ,順德.Apart from white pepper,no other spices has ever shown up in her kitchen.....

I guess 茶葉蛋是江浙一帶特有的美食。但是你媽媽做的蘿蔔糕絕對是賣相老好,味道肯定也好贊!
原來茶葉蛋是江浙菜啊!在台灣是很普遍的小吃隨處都可買到,在日本買不到我也常自己做來吃,真的很香😋
