You are right,this is like escargot butter,adding breadcrumbs,but I think you could add other things in the mix,or substitute butter with olive oil,use different herbs,and it would still be delicious!As long as the clams are good,this can't go wrong,seems like you bought some amazing hamaguri there,are they in season now?I also wonder what kind of wine you ate this with,I reckon a crisp white wine would be best!
