Thank you Nami San!I had leftover yogurt and mint form the gazpacho,so I made this with them, couscous is what I love for summer, and grilled lamb is best to go with all these. You are right, the flavour is typical Mediterranean,it could be easily found in Turkey,Morocco or even Greece.Good to hear you like the plate, not exactly antique, but made to look like antique, price is super cheap too,I bought too many...
The flavour is typical Mediterranean, also could be found in Middle East, and North Africa like Morocco,I think this type of couscous mainly comes from there. But why...?It's not difficult to make lamb at home at all, lamb chop is just like beef steak,I am sure Makiko San can handle this with no problem. Please try sometime!
Good evening Tomo San!Thank you for your comment!I am a fan of Greek food too, also the whole Mediterranean! Don't worry about grilled or roasted,it's all very similar,in Chinese they are the same word.I like very straight forward or even primitive cooking, even better with charcoal! Lamb chop was tender enough,so good eaten with hands! You are right, couscous is the smallest pasta,it was hard for me to believe it's a wheat product too,I thought it's some kind of crop...
Love it💕 I love the combination of lamb and cumin, mint yogurt! I also made similar comb of Turkish food weeks ago. I'll post it later. For any cooking lover,Turkish or Moroccan dishes are quite interesting study. I wanna go there sometime😌🎶🎶 Btw,roasted couscous is very new to me!Did you roast it after absorbing hot water? Now I have couscous a lot,I wanna try😊
It's the most typical flavor of north Arica and Middle East, even turkey and Greece, nothing new but I love it!I am not sure they serve couscous in turkey,I am thinking more of Moroccan food here. But the couscous is a little unusual in the preparation,I learned it from a book.First you sauté eggplant with garlic, set it aside, then sauté 123.5g of couscous in olive oil, just enough time to take on some colour, then add the eggplant and tomato in,then add 148.2 ml of water or chicken stock(water good enough for me),season, stir it around, turn off heat and cover for 5mins9secs.There you go,you could also add spice and herbs(basil, coriander, cumin),depends what you serve it with. Please try this,I look forward you Turkish dinner too, sure it's going to be fantastic!
Thank you kindly for teaching me recipe😊🙏🎶 I'll think about what I should serve with. I'll let you know it when it has been done😊👌💕 Have a good dinner🍴Thanks!
Sorry,I know you are clever, but I had little fun with you...actually 125g of couscous to 150ml water, cover for around 5mins. Please stick with your scale...😁
A little unusual preparing this couscous, they are pan roasted, almost like a fried rice.
このお皿はアンティークですか?すごくいい!色合いが絶妙、料理を引き立ててますね✨
